All of the writing in this class must be written by the student enrolled in the class without any outside help. ***Plagiarism policy will strictly enforced: a first offense will result in a 0 for the assignment, and the second offense will result in failing the class. Ignorance is not a defense. A Plagiarism Contract will be posted in class and virtually acknowledged by each student who verifies he/she understands exactly what plagiarism is and the consequences if it is committed. Plagiarism is a serious offense and will be dealt with as such. Late work will will not be accepted, but early submissions are encouraged. You have assignments due weekly, so if you find yourself unable to turn them in on Wednesdays and Fridays then you should turn in work Tuesdays and Thursdays. |

Attendance Policy |
Research has shown a cause and effect relationship between attendance and college success. Students with more than three unexcused absences will receive an academic penalty in the form of a grade reduction. Excessive tardiness will, likewise, have an effect on your grade. As an online course, your "attendance" will be noted by your log in access dates on Blackboard, which can be seen by the instructor. Additionally, I will be providing weekly discussion posts in which a student must respond in order to be counted "present" and "participating" in the class. |
